Smarty Pants!

I had no idea that my kid would be so smart! He is still crazy about books and he has a lot of them memorized already. He knows the name and he can tell you what is going to happen on the next page before you turn it. His favorite's this week are The Cat in the Hat and Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus. He can count to 10. He counts his toys and books all the time. He also says "123 jump!" at the bottom of the stairs. He is starting to say his ABC's although that is a little jumbled...he just likes the end "next time won't you sing with me" and he claps and says "Yay". He has a little box of 26 books (one for each letter) and he can usually tell you the letter on the front and then each of them has three pages with items that start with that letter and he can tell you what most of them are. He is a little recorder....repeating everything we say. He is repeating about 4 words in a row now. He loves to play outside. He would run around the back yard all day if we would let him. We don't even have any toys out there....he just runs around the grass and picks up rocks. He will take a ball out there and kick it around for an hour. He also doesn't even care if we come out there....he just plays out there by himself. He loves to play with Saydee and Orion too. He calls them both Orion. They both are so good with him. They just lay there and let him crawl all over them. Both of the dogs like to know where he is too. They will go lay down wherever he is, like they are keeping an eye on him.
It is so amazing to watch him grow up and learn new things. I can't believe we are approaching his Second Birthday already. He is such a character and you can't help but enjoy being around him. He is just so cute and funny! I will update some pictures later! Oh and I submitted the "Popcorn for Breakfast" video to AFV so we'll see if it goes anywhere.

Reading

Here is a video of Drew naming the animals in his book. He loves reading and is always bringing us books asking us to read to him, then he takes the book and reads it back to us....so cute! Hopefully he continues to love books.

Injury

Drew fell on a crate full of toys at daycare today. Here are a few pictures of his injury. It will probably cause a black eye...although it isn't his first and I am sure it won't be his last.

The Vacuum

Drew loves the Vacuum. He wants to push it, follow it and be chased by it. He laughs when you get close to him with it!

Here is Drew trying to Vacuum by himself.....pretty funny!

Head, Knees, Toes

Drew is getting pretty good at his body parts...in this one he skips "shoulders".

Monkey Dooz

We took Drew to Monkey Dooz for a haircut. He did a great job holding still. He even let her use the clippers on his neck. Sorry Auntie Marsha we couldn't wait any longer, but he will need another one when we see you in April.

Random Updates

Drew is growing up so fast. He has become quite the independent little boy. He likes to do things on his own, he says "I do it." He wants to brush his teeth and comb his own hair, he also likes to pick up his toys....he says "Ceanup Ceanup." He has a couple of sentences like "I want to go" and "I want more____" fill in grapes (bapes) and cheese. He still has a super deep belly laugh when he gets tickled and he asks for more when you stop tickling him. He has been pretty busy lately....he goes to Swim and Gymnastics once a week. He is in daycare 3 days a week and with Daddy and Nana the other 2 days. He still loves to go outside. Even when its cold. He will cry and say "ouside" "ouside." He is obsessed with books. He will follow you around saying "book, book" until you stop and read it to him. He will sit through every word. He can even tell you the names of about 10 of his favorites. He is just starting to watch tv, he mostly likes sports (even golf with papa) and he has become obsessed with the movie "Cars". He will watch almost all of it without even a peep. He asks to watch it as soon as we get in the car from daycare. He is starting to say the names of the cars too. His little voice is so cute. He has a mouth full of teeth and is eating just about anything you give him. He likes fruit, cheese, yogurt and hot dogs the best though. He is growing right on track and will be in 2T clothes for the summer (in case you need any b-day gift ideas).
